Сложность структуры соревновательной деятельности и зависимость спортивного результата в баскетболе от действия многих факторов, требуют учета поликомпонентной природы проявления индивидуальных задатков и способностей каждого спортсмена. При этом уже на ранних этапах многолетней подготовки нужно ориентироваться, преимущественным образом, лишь на те факторы и критерии, которые определяют стратегическую перспективу юных спортсменов попасть на уровень спорта высших достижений. Основной проблемой при этом остается возможность точной диагностики стратегических спортивных способностей баскетболистов в юношеском возрасте. Методы исследования: анализ литературных источников и данных интернет, анкетирование, метод экспертных оценок, педагогическое наблюдение, педагогическое тестирование в условиях тренировочного процесса, анализ соревновательной деятельности, морфофункциональные методы исследования, методы математической статистики. Показано, что распространенной практикой сегодня является преждевременное ориентирование высоких спортсменов на исключительную деятельность под корзинами, что значительно сужает спектр их игровых возможностей и арсенал технико-тактических действий
The complexity of the structure of competitive activity and the dependence of sports results in basketball on the action of many factors require taking into account the multicomponent nature of the manifestation of individual inclinations and abilities of each athlete. At the same time, already at the early stages of long-term training, it is necessary to focus primarily only on those factors and criteria that determine the strategic perspective of young athletes to get to the level of top-level sports. The main problem at the same time remains the possibility of accurate diagnosis of strategic athletic abilities of basketball players in adolescence. Research methods: analysis of literary sources and Internet data, questionnaires, the method of expert assessments, pedagogical observation, pedagogical testing in the conditions of the training process, analysis of competitive activity, morpho-functional research methods, methods of mathematical statistics. It is shown that a common practice today is the premature orientation of tall athletes to exceptional activity under the baskets, which significantly narrows the range of their gaming capabilities and the arsenal of technical and tactical actions
