Целью данной работы являлся сравнительный анализ динамики изменения среднего возраста призеров Олимпийских игр и Чемпионатов мира в легкоатлетических эстафетах 4*100 м и 4*400 м в период с 1896 по 2022 гг Результаты исследования выявили общие тенденции увеличения возрастных показателей медалистов в обоих видах эстафетной программы за последние 50 лет - у мужчин в среднем на 1,6 года, у женщин на 3,1 года. При этом средний возраст женских эстафет до середины 80-х годов ХХ века был ниже, однако имея более весомую динамику повышения, в XXI веке он стабильно превышает возраст мужчин на величину более 0,5 года. На повышение возрастных показателей в эстафетном беге оказывает влияние целый ряд факторов, отражающих общие тенденции развития лёгкой атлетики в мире, таких как совершенствование многолетней поэтапной системы подготовки спортсменов, накопленный спортсменами опыт, материальные стимулы
In this work a comparative analysis of the dynamics of changes in the average age of medalists of the Olympic Games and World Championships in relay races 4*100 m and 4*400 m in the period from 1896 to 2022 years was carried out. The results of the study revealed general trends in the increase in the age indicators of medalists in both types of relay race programs over the past 50 years - for men on average by 1.6 years, for women by 3.1 years. At the same time, the average age of women until the mid-1980s was lower, however, having a more significant increase in dynamics, in the 21st century it consistently exceeds the age of men by more than 0.5 years. A number of factors that reflect the general trends in the development of athletics in the world, such as the improvement of a multi-year phased training system, the experience of athletes, material incentives, influence the increase in age indicators in relay running
