<abstract xml:lang="ru">

The purpose of the study is to describe the results of an empirical study of motivation, barriers, and rehabilitation effects of adaptive sports in the system of comprehensive rehabilitation of combat veterans.
Research methods: analysis and generalization of scientific literature data, sociological survey, mathematical statistics methods.
Research results and conclusions. Differences in motivation and the hierarchy of barriers were identified. For those not involved in sports, the main barriers are the lack of information and specialists; for those who are involved, transport and finances come to the fore. A statistically significant discrepancy was found in the assessment of barriers between veterans and specialists, who mistakenly consider the main barrier to be "lack of motivation". It was established that adaptive sports are effective in comprehensive rehabilitation. To increase coverage, the introduction of integrated social navigation, the development of protocols for early information provision at the hospital stage, and the inclusion of a social coordinator in the multidisciplinary team are necessary.
