<abstract xml:lang="ru">

The purpose of the study is to examine the emotional state and adaptation features of the wives of the participants of the Special Military Operation.
Research methods and organization. The study was conducted on the basis of the state fund "Defenders of the Fatherland." The sample consisted of 43 women whose husbands are active participants in the Special Military Operation: professional military personnel, mobilized individuals, or volunteers. The average age of the women was 33.4 ± 7.7 years. The average duration of marriage was 7.3 ± 5.1 years. The research was carried out using a testing method.
Research results and conclusions. Women whose husbands are not professional military personnel exhibit a significantly higher level of situational anxiety compared to the wives of military personnel. The structure of situational anxiety is characterized by emotional discomfort, phobic components, anxious assessments of prospects, and a need for social protection. The level of socio-psychological adaptation among all women is rated as average; however, those whose husbands are volunteers or mobilized present a higher level of emotional discomfort. Women who are more balanced and possess adequate self-esteem demonstrate higher indices of psychological adaptation, whereas insecure and emotionally unstable women are at risk of maladaptation.
