Цель исследования – изучение факторов повышения вовлеченности граждан Российской Федерации в регулярные занятия физической культурой и спортом. Актуальность выбранной темы заключается в сверке общих данных реализации государственных программ в сфере физической культуры и спорта с данными показателями в отдельных регионах страны. Методы и организация исследования. Применяли следующие методы: изучение и анализ специальной литературы, нормативных документов и статистических данных, методы математической статистики. Проведен анализ финансирования отрасли физической культуры и спорта, в статье представлена динамика развития спортивной инфраструктуры и вовлеченности населения в занятия физической культурой и спортом, выявленная на основе статистических данных за 2019–2023 гг. Выявлены также основные экономические и социальные факторы, определяющие доступность и популярность физической активности среди различных групп населения. Отмечена положительная корреляция между ростом инвестиций в спорт и увеличением числа систематически занимающихся граждан. Результаты исследования и выводы. Авторами проведён опрос по определению факторов, влияющих на регулярные занятия физической культурой и спортом граждан города Самара. В опросе участвовали более 1000 человек в возрасте от 18 до 65 лет, занимающиеся в фитнес-клубах. Полученные результаты показали, что процент регулярно занимающихся физической культурой и спортом в городе Самара на 10% выше среднего показателя по стране. Определены ключевые барьеры и стимулы, влияющие на развитие массового спорта.

The purpose of the study is to investigate the factors that increase the involvement of citizens of the Russian Federation in regular physical culture and sports activities. The relevance of the chosen topic lies in comparing the overall data of the implementation of state programs in the field of physical culture and sports with the corresponding indicators in individual regions of the country. Research methods and organization. The following methods were employed: study and analysis of specialized literature, regulatory documents, and statistical data, as well as methods of mathematical statistics. An analysis of the funding in the field of physical culture and sports was conducted, and the article presents the dynamics of the development of sports infrastructure and public involvement in physical culture and sports, identified based on statistical data from 2019 to 2023. Additionally, the main economic and social factors determining the accessibility and popularity of physical activity among various population groups were identified. A positive correlation was noted between the increase in investment in sports and the rise in the number of citizens who engage in physical activities systematically. Research results and conclusions. The authors conducted a survey to identify the factors influencing the regular engagement in physical culture and sports among residents of the city of Samara. Over 1000 individuals aged between 18 and 65, who are involved in fitness clubs, participated in the survey. The results obtained indicated that the percentage of individuals regularly engaged in physical culture and sports in the city of Samara is 10% higher than the national average. Key barriers and incentives affecting the development of mass sports have been identified.
