The purpose of the study is to determine effective technical-tactical techniques (preparatory actions) for conducting matches in the competitive discipline of non-Olympic taekwondo "stop-ball – weight category" and "stop-ball – team competitions." Research methods: analysis of scientific and methodological literature, pedagogical observation (analysis of video materials), pedagogical experiment, statistical analysis of the obtained data. Research results are proposed for implementation in the training of athletes of various qualifications for competitions at the regional, interregional, and all-Russian levels in disciplines that include the classifying feature "stop-ball" in their names, and have also been adapted and applied in the competitive discipline of "point fighting" within the sport of kickboxing.
