Abstract (English):
The article examines the activities of regional Olympic academies, ways of disseminating the ideals and values of Olympism through the regional Olympic academies and their websites. The analysis of the websites was carried out by a questionnaire survey, which was attended by 40 students of Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, who are athletes of various specializations. Respondents were asked to evaluate the activities of regional Olympic academies according to 15 criteria. The active use of Internet resources opens up a wide opportunity to disseminate information about outstanding athletes, sports, Olympic history, cultural programs of the Olympic Games, Olympic ideals and values. They are a powerful tool for promoting Olympic values and ideals.
