The study assessed the effectiveness of using the Fitlight trainer in preparation of ice hockey school goalies that based on an analysis of the results of their tests (using the Fitlight trainer) and the indicators of their competitive activity. The features of the relationships between individual indicators of hand reaction speed and sports performance of ice hockey goalies are analyzed. The effectiveness of regular use of the Fitlight trainer in the training of ice hockey school goalies has been proven. The relativity of “transfer of training” from the results of goalies regular training work using Fitlight trainer to the results of their competitive activity is pointed out.
