The 52nd World Championships was the last major tournament before the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad, so the determination of the main contenders for victory in Paris is relevant. The purpose of the study. To analyze the elite men’s national teams results at the 52nd World Championships and their prospects in the team and all-around finals at the upcoming XXXIII Olympic Games 2024 in the absence of Russian gymnasts. Tasks: to determine the best teams and gymnasts based on the results of the 2023 World Championships in Antwerp; to determine the prospects of men’s national teams and individual gymnasts to win at the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad 2024. The methods of the study: analysis of informational and video materials of the 52nd World Gymnastics Championships. Research results and discussion. It was determined that according to the results of the 2023 World Championships, only the teams of Japan and China are leaders in men’s gymnastics. Conclusions. The “pre-Olympic” World Championships showed the advantage of Japanese gymnasts who won the team and all-around competitions. The Chinese national team took part without its leader Zhang Boheng and won silver medals. At the upcoming Games of the XXXIII Olympiad in Paris the main contenders for victory will be gymnasts from only two countries – Japan and China. The third contender – the Russian national team – has lost even purely theoretical chances to participate in these Games.
