Non–Olympic taekwondo directions (separate sports included in the VRVS) include a fairly large number of competitive disciplines from their competitive program - nine in the ITF and ITF directions, thirteen in the GTF taekwondo. Although there are some external similarities in the competitive performance, there are significant differences in the competition regulations and rules for evaluating performances and identifying the winner in these disciplines. The format of performances is also different, some non–Olympic sports provide for mixed exits of athletes- pairs and groups, there are various formats of competitive duels, formalized types (individual, team and group), as well as demonstration types, power and separately allocated jumping exercises. The article presents a study comparing the main features of competitive activity in non-Olympic areas of taekwondo.
