. The article presents the results of assessing the physiological state of tourists during water routes of I and II categories of complexity. Based on measurements of heart rate, blood pressure, dynamometry and anthropometric data, the levels of physical condition, adaptive potential and strength index of water route participants were calculated. As a result of using the chi-square method, it was concluded that participants in water routes of categories 1 and 2 of difficulty do not change the level of physical condition and their strength index does not change, which makes it possible to recommend participation in this sport to a larger number of the population, while observing the basic principles organizing and conducting water routes.
