An objectively justified selection of different conditions for running work, which provides a variably exceeding effect when developing maximum speed capabilities with the help of a traction device, allows you to increase motor activity indicators and demonstrate technical skill in conditions of competitive activity. The purpose of the study. To establish the permissible values of traction forces and to study the effect of a traction device with a fixed traction force on the preparation for competitions of highly qualified sprinters. As a result of the conducted research, the individual traction force for each athlete was established. Performing running work with forward thrust, in optimal combination with running in natural conditions, made it possible, due to purposefully exceeding the basic parameters of running, to intensify the growth of the level of special speed and strength training of short-distance runners and, based on this, significantly increase the athletic result in the chosen type of competitive activity.
