The article presents the results of an analysis of the functional state of women who underwent unilateral mastectomy several months after surgery; the study of physical condition was based on the application and further assessment of body mass index, Robinson index (the level of metabolic and energy processes is estimated), Pirogova technique (the level of physical condition), endurance coefficient (fitness of the cardiovascular system). The study demonstrated a pronounced state of detrainment and decreased physical activity; at the same time, the presented data indicate the need for intervention and assistance to patients of this category by means of physical rehabilitation to increase the vitality and defenses of the body, increase the strength of the myocardium, and prevent the development of the consequences of forced inactivity. In the course of the study, there were no absolute contraindications to the appointment of rehabilitation measures in the form of adaptive physical culture.
