The purpose of the study is to check to what extent and in what way students engage in physical education and sports in their free time. A survey of students of 1-2 courses was conducted. It was revealed that awareness of the value of a healthy lifestyle and physical activity is reflected in behavioral practices, according to 42.1% of female students who consider themselves to be people who systematically engage in sports. The main motives for regular sports among the surveyed female students are the prevention of diseases and maintenance of health, beauty, figure improvement, stress relief. The main type of physical activity for most students is self-study in accessible conditions (at home, in parks and on sports grounds).
