The article presents the results of a questionnaire survey of highly qualified coaches to identify their opinions on the problem of increased injury of female wrestlers in freestyle wrestling with an analysis of the most effective ways to reduce it. It has been established that practitioners perceive increased injuries of female athletes as an objectively existing phenomenon and make attempts to prevent it by making individual periodic corrections to the training process and competitive activities in accordance with the condition of each athlete. At the same time, the main load parameters are monitored and corrected, taking into account previous injuries and phases of the athlete's biological mesocycle, thereby ensuring effective training with minimal health risk. The data obtained as a result of the survey served as the basis for the development of an experimental technology for organizing individual training programs for highly qualified female wrestlers.
