The article examines the features of modern professional women's volleyball based on an analysis of the ranking of the best female volleyball players in the world. It was found that among the best players who scored more than 500 points and made up the top twenty of the rating, in 2023 the number of diagonal ones increased by 2 times compared to 2021. It was revealed that the best diagonal ratings are tall players with a high jump, who play a decisive role and bring the largest number of points in their teams.
