Rhythmic gymnastics is characterized by high demands on the technical skills of gymnasts. Teaching apparatus elements in rhythmic gymnastics is impossible without knowledge of technical errors. In this regard, the purpose of our study is to study the quantitative relationship of technical errors when performing competitive compositions. To determine a quantitative analysis of errors in technical elements with the ball performed by gymnasts aged 9-10 years, an analysis was carried out of 85 compositions of the Volzhsky Championship, held in 2023. We recorded the number of item losses and inaccuracies in working with the item, in accordance with the rules in force in the Russian Federation. Analysis of the performance technique when performing exercises with a ball made it possible to determine the quantitative ratio of errors made by gymnasts when performing elements in an exercise with a ball. The study identified the main technical errors when performing the exercise with the ball. The results of the study will allow us to draw the attention of specialists to the identified categories of errors and adjust the training process of gymnasts.
