The article describes the types of Chinese wellness gymnastics: Wushu, Kung Fu, Qigong and Taijiquan. Using a multi-perspective approach, a review of the literature on the relationship of these types of gymnastics to national sports and martial arts was conducted. Additionally, Kung Fu, Qigong, and Taijiquan can be collectively referred to under the general term of Chinese healing exercises, Wushu. According to the literal meaning of Chinese healing exercises, Wushu, Kung Fu, Qigong, and Taijiquan share a common origin from China and possess similar therapeutic effects.
