Psychology of rehabilitation after sports injuries

Abstract (English):
The article presents a study on improving the system of rehabilitation measures aimed at restoring the health and functional preparedness of athletes. The relationship of injury to the athlete's athletic qualification and age is shown. The authors conducted an analysis of the main psychological reactions of athletes to injuries, studied the impact of injuries on the psychological climate in the team and the individual relationships between athletes, statistics on the recovery time and success of athletes after injuries in various sports. The article discusses the remedies and methods used by specialists for the physical rehabilitation of athletes after injury. Kinesiotherapy and hydrokinesotherapy played an important role in rehabilitation. The psychological recovery of the athletes after injuries was determined using a test of questions «Index of General Psychological Well-being». Studies of the psychological aspects of adaptation to sports injuries have shown that psychological support and coaching significantly reduce the recovery time of an athlete, and increase the success of his return after an injury.
