Objective assessment of self-defense situations based on the completion of an accelerated self-defense course by students

Abstract (English):
The article discusses the results of teaching students the basics of self-defense. The purpose of the study is to study the attitude and ability of students to give an objective assessment of the boundaries of the permissible measure of self-defense against attack after completing the theoretical and practical course of self-defense. It was established that some of the respondents, if it is necessary to use self-defense techniques, do not exclude the possibility of exceeding defensive actions under the influence of their own emotions. Students are able to objectively assess the boundaries of permissible self-defense, which is manifested in their demonstration of various options for self-defense. The use of simulated situations of self-defense in practice with the creation of stressful conditions will ensure the formation of variable ways of response, as well as differentiate an objective assessment of the situation and the instinctive reactions of the defenders.
