The article presents a study on determining the impact of anthropometric indicators on the performance of highly skilled basketball players. The dynamics of their changes over the last 70 years have been identified. It has been established that over the last Olympic cycles there has been a stabilization of the average height of basketball players of the national team, and some influence of growth on a game indicators and the individual effectiveness. Dynamic modern basketball has allowed the “small” players (relatively less tall) to score a large number of points in attack. They began to perform various high-speed, complex-coordination tactical and technical actions more successfully and demonstrate greater efficiency in the game, due to the high level of speed-strength and coordination preparedness.
