The article presents a study on the functional state of the regulatory systems of highly skilled taekwondo athletes in order to determine the optimal level of loads for a specific athlete and predict the success of their competitive performance. An inverse quadratic relationship between the quantity and quality of performances and the influence of rapid respiratory waves on heart rhythm has been identified, and a direct relationship between age and regulatory system tension has been determined.
