The article presents a study on the impact of physical exertion during the initial stage of military-professional training on the bodies of cadets, with the aim of competent correction of the physical training process. A decrease in physical performance and adaptive potential of cadets was identified during the initial stage of military-professional training. Knowledge of the specifics of this stage of military-professional activity, particularly the effects of exertion on the functional capabilities of cadets' bodies, and their consideration will not only allow for the rational organization of physical training for servicemen during this period, but also reduce the time needed for their adaptation to military service.
