The article presents a study of the psychophysiological characteristics of curling players depending on their playing position. An analysis of cognitive abilities, psychophysiological traits, and psychological aspects of athletes in each playing position was conducted using psychological and physiological testing methods. The results showed that each playing position requires a unique set of skills and qualities. The lead player needs to perform monotonous work while maintaining concentration throughout the entire game, the second and third players must possess high accuracy and consistency in their throws, and skips require exceptional concentration and precision. The importance of an individualized approach in the training process for curlers is emphasized, which contributes to optimizing their physical and psychological preparation according to their playing position. The research results can be used to develop more effective training and selection methods.
