General endurance is a mandatory component of the training of highly qualified basketball players, allowing them to perform successfully during extended competitive periods in the game. The use of the Cooper test and the calculation of the modified Cooper test index objectively assess the the general endurance level of highly qualified basketball players from different teams. By the ages of 18-20, highly qualified young players practically reach the level of the general endurance development of highly qualified adult basketball players.
