The article presents the results of studying the game actions used by qualified volleyball players when handling balls that have been unsuccessfully received by a partner in defense, when rebounding from the hands of blockers, or when receiving deceptive balls. The methods of game actions that are used by qualified players in insurance are revealed. The results of the study allow us to state that the growth of professional skills of volleyball players is accompanied by the dynamics of the variability of the methods used to handle the ball during insurance. The methods of ball handling by qualified volleyball players identified in the course of the study during insurance can act as the goals of the training process.
