The purpose of the study is to conduct a comparative analysis of the competitive performance of wrestlers at the 2025 Russian National Championship and the World Championship, and to identify key differences in match structure, action effectiveness, and behavioral strategies. Research methods: pedagogical observation, comprehensive assessment of competitive activity, methods of mathematical statistics. Research results and conclusions. An analysis of 60 final matches showed that world-class athletes demonstrate a higher density of actions, a priority on groundwork, and the use of safe yet effective technical and tactical solutions. Russian wrestlers retain traditional and insufficiently effective approaches. The obtained data indicate the need to modernize training methods and transition to current models of competitive activity.
