Assessment of the effectiveness of youth engagement programs in sports
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The article is devoted to the analysis of the effectiveness of the implementation of youth policy in the field of physical culture. The purpose of the study is to develop and test a system for the quantitative assessment of the effectiveness of programs for engaging youth in sports activities. Research methods: analysis of regulatory legal acts, processing of official statistical data for 2022-2025, comparative regional analysis, and calculation of integral indices. Research results and conclusions. The study identified a statistically significant relationship between the level of youth sports involvement and the dynamics of deviant behavior indicators. An integrated index of the effectiveness of youth sports policy has been developed, allowing for comparable interregional assessment. The data obtained by the authors confirmed that the assessment of the effectiveness of youth policy in the field of physical culture requires a comprehensive approach, taking into account not only formal indicators of engagement but also infrastructural provision, financial burden, and organizational parameters of system functioning. The analysis of official statistical data has shown that regions with a comparable proportion of young people regularly engaged in sports can differ significantly in the level of resource support and the density of sports infrastructure, which confirms the need for more detailed assessment of their effectiveness when conducting research.
