The article presents a methodology for the development of spatial orientation of taekwondo athletes at the stage of initial training, as well as the results of experimental testing of taekwondo athletes on the level of development of the ability to spatial orientation at the stage of initial training. The purpose of the study was to develop a program for the development of spatial orientation of taekwondo athletes at the initial training stage and its experimental testing in practice. The effectiveness of the methodology was successfully proven during the experiment. This scientific work has no similar research in the field of martial arts, which is a scientific novelty. The technique can be applied in practice in the training process of oriental martial arts, in which there is a competitive discipline in the technique of formal complexes of movements (tul, kata, poomse)
