The article analyzes the goals and objectives of the use of judo in the physical education of children of senior preschool age. The characteristic features in the formation of movements during physical education classes, where it takes place simultaneously with the physical development of children, have been established. These processes are in complex interaction, stimulate and complement each other. The consistent accumulation of motor experience contributes to the expansion of the potential for a good impact on the functions and forms of the body of older preschool children. In addition, the aim of the study was to experimentally test the effectiveness of the use of judo elements in the system of physical education and health work with children aged 6-7 years of the Yelets Municipality of Educational Institution. The authors, after conducting a comparative analysis, indicate that the use of judo elements in physical education classes with children aged 6-7 years will help increase their physical fitness, which will indirectly affect their health and physical development. At the same time, with an increase in the incidence of the younger generation and a decrease in functional readiness, a need is created for new sports and recreational technologies in children's educational institutions.
