One of the indicators of physical development of the body is muscle strength. The purpose of the study was to assess the level of development of the strength of the muscles of the back and hand, which are necessary in the future professional activity of doctors of different specialties. Analysis of the results of the study allowed us to establish that the strength of the hand muscles in most students is mainly at an average level, and the strength of the back muscles is at a low level, which indicates the need to adjust the educational and training process. It is also necessary to supplement independent classes with exercises for the development of muscle strength, trunk and lower extremities in both boys and girls
