The results of research work for the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation on the topic are analyzed: "Study of the causes of labor migration of young athletes of game sports (on the example of leaving Russia for the leagues of North America and Europe)", performed for the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation (2022). The article contains the results of face-to-face expert sessions with coaches (100 people), and the reasons expressed by them for the outflow of hockey players to the leagues of North America, Europe. The study included a mass survey of young hockey players aged 11-14, 15-18, parents and coaches, this article demonstrates the results of the category of respondents - coaches. We have grouped the reasons contributing to the labor migration of young hockey players to foreign leagues into four groups: the first group is the infrastructure of Russian hockey, the second group is the policy of hockey schools, the third group of reasons is the problems of Russian hockey, the fourth is the problem of the outflow of young hockey players.
