Modem taekwondo is a dynamic, spectacular and rich in a variety of technical-tactical activities sport. Research methods. Analysis and generalization of literary data, pedagogical observations, pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics. Materials. 89 duels during official competitions were analyzed personally and in video analysis mode. 107 cases of successful combinations with parameter fixation were considered. Results. Successfully conducted three-stroke and four-stroke series and combinations of kicks are present in the duels of qualified athletes in approximately equal proportions with some advantage of three-stroke (58% vs. 42%). This fact reflects the current rules of the competition, stimulating the athlete to perform not only more complex technical-tactical actions, but also multi-stroke series, which allow due to the number of strokes to compensate for the relative simplicity of the latter. Conclusion. The data obtained by us illustrate the ways of pedagogically correct solution of the technical and tactical training variability and individualization problem. The presence of favorite and well-developed "crown" techniques and their combinations provide the athlete with more significant advantages than the average possession of a wide technical range of techniques
