Abstract:
The article deals with the problem of corruption in football sports in the form of match-fixing, during the research, the authors identified and proposed measures to counter criminal encroachments. The purpose of the research is to identification of corruption problems in sports, which have arisen as a result of the peculiarities of its management and independence of the Institute of Sports. The definition of this goal defines a set of tasks, the solution of which is the content of this research: to analyze the legal norms governing the fight against corruption; to identify corruption problems in sports and to identify measures to counter it. Research methodology. The methods of the research are the analysis, synthesis of scientific and regulatory literature on the problem of corruption in the field of sports, formal and legal, system analysis, as well as the method of deduction. Research results and their discussion. The research revealed a gap in Russian legislation, the absence of a definition of «match fixing» fixed at the legislative level. In this connection, an analysis of the international legal framework regulating the sphere of football sports was carried out, which made it possible to identify acts related to this category of crimes. For the commission of which Russian legislation provides for criminal liability, however, this sanction is not able to fully realize the goals of criminal punishment. It is proposed to create an authorized department that will collect and analyze video recordings of matches, as well as check insider information about corruption manipulations. Conclusions. Measures have been identified to counteract corruption-related crimes that will prevent the crimes being prepared and stop the crimes being committed in football sports
