This article analyzes the problems of the formation of coordination abilities, which are necessary for female students of a special medical department in a medical university. The development of motor coordination will be facilitated by the method of applying rhythmic gymnastics. Involvement of complexes of gymnastic exercises of various intensity into the main part of the physical education lesson allows achieving positive dynamics of indicators and aerobic abilities of the body of the trainees within one semester. The database was compiled on the basis of examinations of the state of physical health of students of St. Petersburg State Pedagogical Medical University and SPCFU, which was conducted from September 2021 to February 2023
