Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The purpose of the study is to analyze the results of anthropometry and physical testing to determine the level of physical condition and capabilities of students at Harbin Far Eastern Institute of Technology. Research methods and organization. The study involved first- to fourth-year students. Anthropometric measurements (height, weight, spirometry) and physical fitness testing (50 m run, 800/1000 m run, standing long jump, forward bends, strength exercises) were conducted. Data processing was performed using Excel 2022 software. Research results and conclusions. It was found that the physical condition of the majority of students corresponds to average and below average levels of the standard. A significant proportion of students with overweight and obesity were identified, as well as insufficient development of the respiratory system. The level of development of speed, strength, and flexibility in the majority of students is assessed as satisfactory. The results indicate the need to adjust the physical education curriculum, strengthen efforts to promote a healthy lifestyle, and optimize physical activity taking into account the identified problem areas.
