The participation of teams in competitions is the most important component for determining the advantages and disadvantages of both individual elements, volleyball skills, and the team as a whole. This article discusses the importance of studying the flexibility of choosing the tactics of playing in classical volleyball, depending on the analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the opponent. It was found that teams that can analyze the opponent's playing style and change their tactics in accordance with it are more likely to succeed. The authors propose to apply a systematic approach that considers the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the game as elements of a single system, with functioning depending on the effectiveness of each of its components.
