For foreign students studying at Russian universities, adaptation to new living and learning conditions is a big problem. The aim of the study was to determine the adaptive capabilities of the body of foreign students studying in the first year of Volgograd State Medical University. The study was conducted using medical and pedagogical tests evaluating the functionality of the cardiorespiratory system. The results of the study allowed us to gain knowledge indicating the average level of adaptive capabilities of the body of foreign students during the first year of study.
