This article is dedicated to the analysis and description of technical elements and tricks in cheerleading, which are performed by cheerleaders during performances. The article discusses the most common stances, jumps, rotations and balances as well as tricks and acrobatic elements that give spectacle and effect to the performances. The authors of the article describe the features and techniques of performing the elements, and discuss the necessary physical preparation and skills required from cheerleaders to successfully perform these elements. An analysis of these elements in cheerleading enables a better understanding and evaluation of the difficulty and technique, and the development of effective training programmes to improve the cheerleading skills. This article is of interest to coaches, cheerleading teams, sports organizations and anyone interested in cheerleading and its development.
