The article describes one of the possible approaches to improve the technique of breaststroke turns in swimmers 9-10 years old. The process of improving the turns is presented by the authors as the implementation of a methodology in which, based on the quality criteria, the exercises used by the regional coaches (survey data) and some of those described in the special literature are comprehensively presented. A study proving the effectiveness of the proposed generalizing methodology was conducted on young athletes who are at the beginning of the training stage of many years of training. The authors present the results proving the effectiveness of the proposed means included in the content of the methodology aimed at ensuring the development of a better technique for performing the breaststroke turn. The data of the questioning of coaches of the Far East region on the issue of the author's organization of the process of mastering the technique of turns by young swimmers are given.
