Introduction. Sports allow you to feel the need of society in your activities, to feel like a part of the team, to get the opportunity to prove that you are not the last in it. The motivation of an athlete largely determines the level of the special training, which is one of the main components the sporting success. The fact is that the strength and stability of motivation is largely determined by the ability of the subject to satisfy himself in a particular type of sports activity, and the level of special knowledge, skills and abilities determines the capabilities of the athlete. Therefore, it is clear that motivation plays a certain role in sports achievements, because it dictates the degree of manifestation of the athlete's capabilities. It is in this connection that it becomes clear that the principle of feedback is manifested between motivation and success in sports activities. The following research methods were used: theoretical study and analysis of special scientific and methodological literature, questionnaires, analysis.
