Introduction. In the course of a previous study, we developed a methodology for planning physical activity in SAMBO training sessions at the initial training stage, which is based on optimal planning of the training load in terms of the ratio of training equipment by physiological intensity zones, as well as the distribution of training load in the annual cycle aimed at developing physical qualities, taking into account the requirements the federal standard of sports training in the sport of "Sambo". The purpose of the study. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the developed experimental methodology for planning physical activity in SAMBO training sessions at the initial training stage. Methodology and organization of research. Control and experimental groups were formed, each of which included 12 SAMBO boys aged 10-12. The training process of the control group was carried out unchanged, and the sports training of the experimental group was carried out taking into account the developed experimental methodology. To assess the effectiveness of the methodology, the physical and functional fitness of athletes from both groups was tested before the start of the pedagogical experiment, a one-year training cycle, and upon its completion. To build the educational and training process of the experimental group, a ratio of types of sports training was proposed - the time for technical and tactical training and SFP was reduced, and the time for SFP was increased, aimed at optimizing the physical and functional fitness of boys aged 10-12 years. In order to gradually improve physical qualities, the one-year training cycle of athletes in the experimental group was divided into several stages of formation of motor and coordination abilities of those involved in order to gradually improve physical qualities. Intermediate heart rate studies, as well as the results of testing the physical and functional fitness of sambo boys of both groups, confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed technique. Conclusions. The increase in indicators of physical and functional fitness according to the results of all tests is higher in the experimental group compared with the control group, which is due to more effective planning of the training process and confirms the effectiveness of the experimental methodology.
