FORMATION OF COORDINATION OF ACTIONS OF ROWERS ON YAL-6 BOATS USING A TRAINING DEVICE FOR PAIR COUPLING OF ATHLETES
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
Introduction. In rowing sports, where the crew of the team is represented, the coordinated, synchronous work of all athletes is important for the simultaneous performance of rowing actions. It is noted that in rowing on YAL-6 boats, the greatest degree of desynchronization in the rowing movements of athletes is characteristic of the starting segment of the distance (200 - 250 m). It was found that when performing rowing movements, a significant part (from 47 to 59%) of athletes of different readiness levels make mistakes associated with either advancing or lagging in the performance of competitive actions. In the process of training athletes, the pedagogical task is to develop means, forms and methods for the formation of synchronized rowing motor actions. The purpose of the study is to develop and experimentally substantiate the methodology for forming the consistency of the actions of rowers on YAL-6 boats using a training device for the pair coupling of athletes. Methods and organization of research. The study was conducted with the crew members of the YAL-6 boats, military personnel of the Baltic Fleet, in the period from April to August 2022. The survey of specialists (32 coaches), observations, analysis of special scientific and methodological literature, video analysis of athletes' movements when performing rowing movements were conducted. The methodology of the training process of athletes-rowers has been developed for the formation of a team-wide synchronous rowing skill as part of the crew of the YAL-6 boat based on the use of training devices for coupling each pair of rowers on each bank of the boat. In the pedagogical experiment, two teams of YAL-6 boats for 7 people each. The results of the pedagogical experiment were processed using methods of mathematical statistics. Results and their discussion. It was found that when performing rowing movements, a significant part (from 47 to 59%) of athletes of different readiness levels make mistakes associated with either advancing or lagging in the performance of competitive actions. It is noted that the greatest degree of desynchronization in the rowing movements of athletes is characteristic of the starting segment of the distance (200 -250 m). The training device is a special shirt-front made of dense fabric, has two fasteners sewn at the level of the shoulder blades, into which a gymnastic stick is attached, connecting the backs of two rowers sitting on one bank of the boat. On land and on water, rowing actions with a training device were performed at a pace of 30 strokes. /min. 3 - 4 series of 180-190 strokes were performed (25% of the training time). At the same pace, using a training device, rowing movements were performed on the water, at a distance of 200 -300m for 4-5 series (up to 50% of the training time). At the end of the training, the athletes completed the task of overcoming the competitive distance (1000 m) without using a training device (up to 25% of the training time). Results and their discussion. It was found that after the conducted pedagogical experiment, the passage time of the starting segment of the distance by the crew members of the YAL-6 boat, who were engaged in experimental methods, improved by 10.7% (from 71.8 s to 64.1 s). The time indicators of the rowers of the control group on this segment of the distance also improved, but only by 3.8% (from 72.1 to 69.3 seconds). Conclusion. The analysis of the results suggests that the application in the training process of rowers on the YAL-6 boats of the methodology using a training device for paired coupling of crew members on each bank, provides a purposeful formation of synchronous and coordinated actions of athletes when rowing.
