Special training of hand-to-hand combatants is of great importance in the formation of fighters. It contains different aspects of training that have basic components. It is a comprehensive development of special physical qualities, development of functional capabilities of the body, basic and professional technical components, peculiarities of psychological training, etc. Of great importance are special training tasks, including auxiliary exercises of competitive nature, narrowly specialized directions, covering directly the type of sport and its features. In general, special training becomes a marker of a handler's preparedness. This determines the necessity of a certain periodic diagnostics, providing evaluation and analysis of activity, as well as ways of correction of the training process, which indicates the relevance of the study. The purpose of this study was to evaluate and analyze the special training of hand-to-hand fighters. The article presents the results of the study of special training of hand-to-hand fighters. It was found that the leading of the most developed physical abilities is orientation in space. By the degree of physical qualities development, it is followed by strength endurance, then by decreasing speed and strength training and general endurance
