The article examines the specifics of competitive swimmers, analyzes the results of the Russian Swimming Championship, organized in 2023, and based on the generalization of foreign research literature, the relative parameters of the contribution of energy systems to the provision of muscular activity are determined. The results of the study show that proper training of swimmers, taking into account the energy supply of muscle activity, plays a key role in improving athletic performance and achieving success at the international level
