Abstract:
The article is devoted to the study of trends in the development and application of high-pressure tactics in modern football. The main goal of high pressure is to intercept the ball as close as possible to the opponent's goal and create an opportunity for a quick counterattack attack. High pressure is often used by teams that strive for an active and attacking game, as well as by teams that want to control the game and dictate their conditions. High pressure is one of the modern and effective tactics in football. The effectiveness of its use is influenced by many factors, including the physical capabilities of football players, a properly organized training process, the tactical skills of the team, as well as the quality of training of the opposing team. The paper presents an analysis of the following indicators: possession of the ball in the opponent's half of the field, the number of team pressure attempts and the effectiveness of team pressure for teams that occupy leading positions in their leagues, compared with their results five years ago. The analysis allows us to see an increase in indicators that characterize high pressure in the game
