Volume and effectiveness indicators of strikes to different sectors of the target surface among sabre fencers of various qualifications
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The purpose of the study is to identify quantitative characteristics of the volume and effectiveness of strikes to different sectors of the target surface among sabre fencers of various qualifications. Research methods: surveys (questionnaires), pedagogical observations, notational analysis of combat actions, an ascertaining experiment, instrumental control of strike accuracy, and methods of mathematical statistics. Research results and conclusions. It was established that in athletes at the stage of sports specialization, 60.4% of all strikes are concentrated in two habitual sectors (head, arm) with below-average effectiveness. With an increase in skill level, the distribution of strikes across sectors becomes more uniform, and the effectiveness of attacks increases. It was concluded that the concentration of strikes in a limited number of sectors is one of the reasons for insufficient effectiveness of attacking actions, which substantiates the need for the targeted development of strike accuracy in various sectors based on real-time feedback tools.
