Abstract:
In modern basketball, specialists are constantly searching for new ways to improve the effectiveness of individual tactical actions in defense, which include the creation of «foul situations» by basketball players during the game to the opponent. The purpose of the study is to identify and describe situations of «charging foul» as a technical and tactical action to create a «foul situation» to an opponent, and to substantiate the possibility of teaching basketball players this defensive action. The following methods were used in the course of the study: analysis and generalization of special literature, pedagogical observation, pedagogical experiment, analysis of statistical protocols of games, mathematical processing of research results. As a result of the conducted research, seven game situations of successful use in the defense of a «charging foul» " are presented. The use of a special set of tools for training qualified basketball players in technical and tactical actions to create a «foul situation» to an opponent allows to increase the effectiveness of defensive actions in a «charging foul» situation
