Significant changes in the rules of wrestling competitions introduced by the UWW in 2016 after the Olympic Games held in Rio de Janeiro also affected the weighing procedure in men's disciplines (freestyle wrestling and Greco-Roman wrestling) and, importantly, women's (women's wrestling). The weigh-in is held in the morning at 8 o'clock an hour and a half before the start of competitive matches both on the first day and on the second day of the competition, but on the second day, only for the participants of the "consolation" and those who got into the final part of the competition. Such regulations have a negative impact on the health of athletes and carry an additional burden on all body systems. What effect does such a regulation of the weighing procedure have on the body of athletes and sportswomen, as well as the opinion of experts on changes in the rules of the weighing procedure are disclosed in this article
