Physical characteristics are very important in any sport to ensure success. Of great importance among them is the state of strength properties, which can change with growing up and when playing sports. Purpose of the study - to establish the age dynamics of power characteristics among representatives of team sports. Methodology and organization of the study. 72 male athletes were observed, belonging to teenagers and young men who devoted themselves to tennis, football and handball. Groups of the same age, not related to sports activities, were also created from 13 teenagers and 12 young men. The strength of the muscles of the hand was ascertained as a result of carpal dynamometry with the determination of the value of Student's t-test. Research results and discussion. An assessment of the power characteristics of athletes involved in game types was performed. Its highest level was noted among handball players of both ages. Power capabilities were somewhat weaker in tennis players and football players. Those who did not play sports had the least strength. As the age increased, the level of strength increased in all the examined groups. Conclusions. The severity of power properties in handball players was higher compared to football players and tennis players. Power capabilities increased during the transition from adolescence to adolescence
